Ilion Animation Studios currently has an opening for a Animation Technical Assistant. This is an entry level position that will Exposé you to the animation pipeline and many aspects of the overall studio production pipeline. The animation TA will support a given animation team to help facilitate his job. This position takes direction from the CG Supervisor, tD`s and/or lead animators.
Main Responsibilities
-Technical testing of new environments or assets to determine any upstream setup problems before animation production
-Communication with the TD´s to help improve processes and workflow.
Follow-up with other departments while troubleshoting issues until a resolution is reached.
Assist the Animation Artists with problems that might arise during shot production.
Test new software, developments and/or features as neded.
Requisitos mínimos:
Requirements:
-Experience debugging animation scenes
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Problem solving and troubleshoting in a technical environment
-Experience with the Windows environment
-Experience with Maya.
-2D/3D graphics software knowledge a plus
-A mix of production experience as well as some experience with scripting/programming in Python, Perl, MEL and/or C/C++ a plus.
Preferably a B. S, in Computer Science, Enginering, Mathematics or equivalent.
